Minute of General Meeting of MOF’s held on Thursday 6 November 2025 at 1pm in St Oswald’s Church Hall, Cargill Rd, Maybole, at 1pm.
A note to all groups, if any group is considering using or altering MOF’s Logo, for any projects, the group must approach the committee first for approval.
Group Reports
Walking Group – going well, photo’s being shown on Facebook with a large following
Short walking - usually doing a couple of miles followed by coffee and scone somewhere.
Ukulele Group – played for the ladies of Dalrymple WI, most enjoyable afternoon.
Camera Group – have produced photographs for a 2026 Calendar, now on sale for £6 and £5.
Out & Abouters – every 2nd Friday of the month, next one will be 14 November 2025.
Knit & Natter – both group Monday and Thursday doing well, helped with making poppies for Remembrance display at Crosshill memorial. Also hats and scarves for a school’s project, another project is baby hats for Crosshouse hospital,
Sewing Group – Doing well, still learning how to use the Quilting Frame bought recently for the group.
Theatre Group – next show tickets have been bought for Peter Andre in Frankie Valli tribute on January 27, 2026, 2 tickets are still available at £45.00 each.
Art Group – 11 regulars, enjoyable class
Chair Yoga – 14 regulars attending weekly
Christmas Panto – King’s Theatre, Glasgow on Tuesday 9 December 2025, 20 members going.
Outing to Castle Douglas/Kirkcudbright -weather was good on the day, all enjoyed, finishing up at Hollybush Inn for High Tea. Thanks to all with raffle and prizes.
Charity Shop – 3 -10 October – thanks to all who helped in anyway the sum of £700 was raised.
Thanks to those who helped the following week with the Brownie’s.
Gatherings information week – thanks to the Art Group and other groups for the lovely display within the shop, it was a great exercise to show who MOF’s are.
Craft Fair 1/11/25 – raised £422 on the day, this also included calendars and Christmas cards sold at the Fair.
Christmas Markets, York - few members are going to York 17 – 20 November 2025
Christmas Bazaar – will be held in Maybole Town Hall on Saturday 6 December2025, MOF’s are taking a stall to sell Calendars and Christmas Cards.
Christmas Social – will be held on Wednesday 17 December 2025 at 1pm, in St Oswald’s with the Ukelele group entertaining, raffle will be held. Looking for suggestions as to where the raffle money will be donated to:- suggestions so far are Whitely Retreat, Promenade Bicycles
Dumfries House – looking at this outing perhaps early into 2026, this will be car sharing for this.

Next May 2026 will be MOF’s tenth anniversary, looking for suggestions as to how we should mark this prestigious event.
