Groups Update-
Walking Group – still going well, Last week was the first that the weather was too bad to continue the walk, two new members have joined.
Camera Club – small in numbers but still managing to get out and about to take photographs.
Out & Abouters – Last month was a visit to Irvine: next outing will be to Troon on Friday 10 April
Knit and natter – good numbers attending
Sewing Group – working on project at present, but anyone interested in crafts can pop along
Theatre Group – Been to a couple of shows at the Gaiety, another 2 coming up. There are 2 tickets for the “Drifters” in September available if interested please contact committee. Also Panto tickets have been reserved.
Art Group – going well.
Chair Yoga – numbers been good, with some new members joining. Tuesday’s 2 – 3pm
Craft Fair – this was held on Saturday 28 March, thanks to all who donated to tombola and those who volunteered their time on the day. A profit of £384 was made.
Christmas Raffle – members present were asked to decide on the third donation, after a show of hands it was agreed to give to Alzheimer's.
Charity Shop – MOF’s will be in the Gatherings from Friday 17 -24 April, a rota sheet was sent round for help within the shop, and all donations would be welcome. The Brownies will be in the shop the week prior to MOF’s; members were asked if they had a few spare hours to help.
May outing – the outing on Thursday 28 May 2026 will be to Edinburgh, High Tea is still to be confirmed
**It is proposed that the Coach leaves around 9am, I want to ask if there are any objections to leaving at that time. **
Dumfries House – proposed visit, Senga has made enquiries and there are a few available dates; the cost will be £17.50 per person. Date to be confirmed.
A.G.M. – This meeting will be held on Thursday 14 May 2026, in Maybole Town Hall. Each group will be asked to take a table to demonstrate their works throughout year. MOFs celebrate its 10th Anniversary. Members were asked if they would like to have a celebration meal nearer to Christmas, this was agreed to organise. Other events are being discussed with committee and put to members at the AGM. A sheet was passed round for numbers for the AGM, fir catering purposes. An email will be circulated nearer the time to collate numbers
Panto – King’s Theatre -30 tickets have been reserved for Wednesday 9 December 2026 at 1pm, cost will be £35.00
**It was noted that members when attending any meetings or classes at St Oswald’s Church, please be respectful how they park their cars, please do not block any driveways. **
Business concluded, tea was served
Next meeting will be Annual General Meeting in Maybole Town Hall at 1pm Thursday 14 May 2026.
