Fifth Newsletter from the committee in lieu of

General Meetings during lockdown July 2021

Hello all,

We hope you are all well. We were hoping to have been able to set a date for our first general meeting this year, but until we drop down into level one this is still not possible! But as soon as we get permission, we will set a date.

1] Charity Pop up  - we have booked the big hall/ Burns Lounge upstairs at Goudie’s for Friday 16th and Saturday 17th July 2021.  We need as many helpers as possible for Friday Morning to set up so please get in touch. Please remember we must all have face coverings and social distancing is in operation.

2] MOF’s Membership & AGM 2021 – The committee had its first actual meeting since the beginning of lockdown last Friday - We have decided due to covid and to help encourage the membership back out into groups & activities and out of social isolation, to wave the membership fees again for 2021 for current members.

Membership cards are printed and ready to issue. We are just going to extend the date on them until April 2022Where possible we will issue via group leadersIf your group is not meeting yet we will have them at the pop-up shop. Can group leaders please let me have a list of your regular members so that we can get the correct cards out to you.

AGM – This was cancelled for 2020 and we have decided to cancel again for 2021. We plan to hold the next AGM  at beginning of April 2022 when it should be safe to have with all members. The committee would stay on as it is until then. We were planning a meeting with a light lunch included and new membership cards issued. Annual fees will be held at £12.00 this will be payable on the day [day, date, and venue to be confirmed ASAP].

Accounts We will supply up-to-date accounts in a spread sheet format for anyone who would like to see at the first general meeting.

3] Christmas Lunch 2021 etc. – We are not planning anything for Christmas  with regards to a large gathering for MOF’s this year, but the groups may like to plan and do their own thing about Christmas lunches.

4] New Charity shop –  Alex Kelly has given us a date in September at the new premisses in school venal –  we will be needing helpers so ask again for you to please get in touch.
